Survivial Tips

Get weapons. you don't want to fight up close, but plan on having to. you want an effective hand weapon, a good sidearm, and preferably a rifle of some kind- accuracy will save you bullets in the long run. Conserve ammo- sound draws attention as well. get up on a roof, or up some stairs and destroy the way up. when sweeping a room from the outside- don't venture inside, instead make noise at the doorway and listen...

avoid big cities. watch out for pirates. try to keep your location discreet enough.

coming soon. the living must keep connected!
providing e-books on medical, construction, electrical, computers,
FAQ help etc etc textbooks via the internet.

how long does a global internet remain active after a full outbreak?
how long will credit card systems work?
what about the power grid?

It's specified that the Hoover Dam would continue to function unmanned for a few months in the least,
but the eventual shutdown of the dam would most probably occur because of 'organic buildup' (barnacles) on the inflow piping.
hopefully we can get ahold of info to restart/reboot power grids, and get it posted here.
